Nick Lurkin

Nick Lurkin works since 2014 as a Senior Adviser Climate & Environment with the Royal Association of Netherlands’ Shipowners. The KVNR represents 115 shipping companies with almost 1500 ships.  
Nick is involved in climate and environmental policy matters for maritime transport at national, EU as well as IMO level.

Furthermore, he’s also acting as an adviser to the delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands during IMO’s Marine Environmental Protection Committee (MEPC) meetings.

EU MRV, EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime and the negotiations and work done for the IMO Net-Zero Framework are well known topics which are daily business for Nick.
