For the second time in a row, Rotterdam has been awarded as the European frontrunner in the 2024 edition of the 'Leading Maritime Cities of the World’ report launched by DNV and Menon Economics. The port city is on the forefront of innovation due to its efforts to leverage new technologies. With its strategic North Sea location, Rotterdam remains the pre-eminent maritime and offshore hotspot. Within a range of 200 km, Europe’s key offshore and dredging contractors, super yacht builders and shipyards are active, working closely together with high-level research centres, equipment suppliers and numerous ship owners.
