Kunal Sharma

Kunal Sharma is a Marine Engineer and is working at Indian Register of Shipping since 2011. Currently working as Senior Surveyor in Ships & Technical Services division, he is involved in energy efficiency services at IRS, including approval of EEDI, EEXI, SEEMP, verification of Emissions. Reports under EU MRV and IMO DCS regulations.

He completed his Marine Engineering from Tolani Maritime Institute and Post Graduation in Naval Architecture from Newcastle University. He collaborated as supporting editor for Fathom Shipping’s Ship Efficiency Guide. He was the national consultant for IMO’s GloMEEP project. He has represented IACS at IMO during MEPC meetings and intersessional working group on reduction of GHG emissions from ships. He has special interest in the field of ship’s energy efficiency, marine air pollution and emissions reduction technologies.
