Naval architect with 30+ years experience in the shipping and shipbuilding industry. Worked 20+ years at a leading supplier of cargo handling systems, striving to optimize handling, stowage and securing of cargo on ships.

I moved to Norsepower in 2023 because I am convinced that wind propulsion is a great solution to minimize emissions of commercial shipping, and rotor sails are the most suitable and most powerful wind propulsion technology for most ship types. Looking at the "Net-Zero"-challenges of the shipping sector, I think it should be only natural to use the power of wind again for ship propulsion - with the modern and fully automized technologies available today.

In private, I love sailing dinghies and small yachts at national and international regattas. That's another strong driver for me to promote wind propulsion for commercial shipping.
