Ms. Jeaninne Haijemaije

Jeaninne Haijemaije is Staff Employee Maritime Labour Law at the Royal Association of Netherlands’ Shipowners (KVNR), representing 115 shipping companies with nearly 1,500 vessels under the Dutch flag.

A former lawyer with experience in international transport and aerospace, Jeaninne now focuses on individual and collective labour law for Dutch shipowners.

She also represents the Dutch shipping industry in (inter)national negotiation and consultation forums, including the ILO, the EU.

Working on topics such as the fair treatment of seafarers detained in connection with alleged crimes, the establishment of an international minimum wage standard for seafarers or shore leave.
