A Day of Celebration on the Awards Stage at Europort!

The Europort Awards Stage was alive with excitement today, hosting not one but two major award ceremonies honouring innovation, digitalisation, and smart shipping excellence.

 

The SMART4SEA x Europort Awards recognised outstanding contributions to smart shipping across five key categories:

• Smart Shipping Award - Kaiko Systems for Kaiko CharterReady, a data-driven tool that analyses inspection data to prevent cargo hold rejections and enhance transparency.
   
• Cybersecurity Award - CyberOwl for Medulla, a dedicated maritime cyber risk monitoring platform designed to strengthen cyber resilience and risk management.
   
• E-Navigation Award - StormGeo for s-planner, an integrated voyage planning tool combining optimised routing, real-time weather intelligence, automatic updates, and 24/7 shore-based decision support.
   
• Technology Award - Orbyt Global Group for Orbyt Nexus, a unified platform combining connectivity, cybersecurity, and crew welfare through seamless VSAT, Starlink, 4G/5G, and SD-WAN integration.
   
• Autonomous Shipping Award - Sperry Marine for advanced navigation and control systems enabling autonomous manoeuvring and enhanced situational awareness.
  
   

Following the ceremony, an engaging panel discussion with the 2025 award winners explored the digital trends shaping maritime innovation. The panellists reflected on the meaning of their awards, the challenges of digital transformation, and how collaboration can drive smarter, more connected operations across global shipping.

 

Later in the day, the spotlight turned to Europort’s Rising Stars, where ELNAV.AI received the Rising Star Award, including a €10,000 media package from HANSA.

 

ELNAV.AI develops advanced AI-driven safety systems that monitor human factors such as fatigue, stress, and miscommunication on the bridge — helping reduce human error and prevent maritime accidents.
