Record Number of Submissions Received for CEDA Dredging Days 201907 march 2019
The Call for Papers deadline, for CEDA Dredging Days 2019, has passed and the final abstracts have been chosen from a record number of submissions.
Once again, the Technical Papers Committee had the difficult and unenviable task of choosing the final list from some outstanding abstracts. They have come up with a final selection that promises an event packed with new ideas.
The accepted abstracts cover the latest advances in dredging technology, measurement techniques, and sediment management, including modelling of these issues. Details will be out in due course. Professor Cees van Rhee, Chair of the Papers Committee, said, "We’re confident that, with these submissions, we can design a high-quality, informative programme, which is what our delegates expect from Dredging Days. Every year we’re trying to do something new”.
He added, "This year, instead of keynote speeches, we’ll start the conference with a panel discussion on the challenges of energy transition and emission reduction, in the dredging industry, and we’ll have a panellists of key industry figures representing various segments of our field”.
We’ll be updating you on progress for the conference, in the coming months, so do read the updates and follow us on social media #dredgingdays. You can also find out more about CEDA Dredging Days 2019, by visiting the conference website.
CEDA Dredging Days 2019 will coincide with Europort 2019. With both events taking place under the same roof, this will be the best opportunity (and the easiest way) to catch up on the latest, and most relevant, topics in dredging and associated fields.
