IRANIMEX2016 powered by Europort
Europort has become the official and exclusive international partner of IRANIMEX, the leading maritime & offshore exhibition in Iran. Based on combining the blueprint of IRANIMEX and the international expertise the brand Europort provides, from 2016 onward the exhibition will be branded as IRANIMEX powered by Europort.
Sanctions against Iran have recently been lifted so the country finally has access to funds previously frozen in foreign accounts and has an eagerness to do international business. The need for modernization is huge in all economic areas and today the demand for technological renewal is equally high. This was, among other things, evidenced by the swift order of 118 airbuses only a few days after sanctions were lifted.
A maritime & offshore giant awakens
Iran sits on the third largest oilfield in the world as well as the second largest in natural gas. It has a coastline of almost 6,000km and is strategically connected to the Caspian Sea, The Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. Port development will lead to a growing fleet of work and patrol boats as well as necessary dredging operations. Offshore exploration and expanding oil and gas sector will demand its own new ships, platforms and services. Over the next years hundreds of ships and platforms will be added to the Iranian fleet and an investment guarantee of 120 billion dollars has already been announced by the Iranian government. There is an urgent demand for maritime & offshore equipment and technological solutions from abroad. No wonder, maritime & offshore suppliers from all over the world are eager to jump into this market now.
